BUILDING STONES
A general, generic term for any dense rock suitable for use in construction. Whether igneous, metamorphic or sedimentary, a building stone is chosen for its properties of durability and attractiveness. Building stone is often quarried and prepared in blocks according to specification. While building stones are often used in structural applications, they can also be used as veneers.
SAND & BREEZE
These are primarily used for base materials. However, sands are also used in concrete and masonry applications and in other specialized areas. Sands by definition are particles of rock which will pass a No. 4 sieve and are retained on a No. 200 sieve. Sands will be further defined by their composition, color, and whether or not they are washed.
GRAVEL & CHIPS
Construction grade materials are used as fill and base. Gravels are also used in concrete applications. Gravels by definition are particles of rock which will pass a 3-inch sieve and are retained on a No. 4 sieve. Gravels will be further defined by their composition, color, and whether or not they are washed.
